Our independence is guaranteed by a clear separation of editorial and commercial functions. Funding comes from display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing; none of these relationships can determine editorial conclusions. Our reporting team, led by Redaktionschef Sandra Brandt, draws on a wide range of material: government publications from the Riksdag and Regeringskansliet, Statistics Sweden (SCB), official EU documents, recognised Swedish and international news agencies, academic studies, and direct testimony from named individuals. Politikredaktör Matthias Thomas covers parliamentary and municipal politics using public records and interviews with elected officials. Wirtschaftreporter Julia Richter analyses economic data from sources such as the Riksbank, Konjunkturinstitutet, and Eurostat. Kultur- och samhällsredaktör Christian Schmid writes on culture, lifestyle and society using first-hand reporting and authoritative secondary sources.
Every article is assigned to a named writer, reviewed by an editor, and fact‑checked by Christina Jung’s fact‑checking unit before publication. The fact‑checking process includes source verification, cross‑referencing claims with original documents, and consultation of subject‑matter experts where needed. Our internal fact‑checking policy details these steps. AI‑assisted tools may support research, drafting, translation, formatting or headline generation, but they never replace human editorial judgement. All published content is approved by a human editor, and the use of AI is governed by our AI and automation policy.

How to challenge our reporting
Readers who believe an error has been published should contact our corrections team at corrections@sachindex.de or use our formal complaints procedure. We investigate all concerns promptly and transparently.
Corrections are handled by Chefredaktör Daniel Winter, who reviews every request and ensures that any confirmed error is corrected in the article and noted in a correction notice. Our corrections policy explains the timeline and format of corrections. If a reader is not satisfied with the outcome, they may escalate the matter through our complaints procedure, which is overseen by an independent editorial ombudsman.
