Sachindex.de’s editorial policy defines how we produce trustworthy Swedish journalism. The publication is owned and operated by Sachindex Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry), with registered office at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. Ultimate editorial responsibility rests with our Chefredaktör Daniel Winter, who oversees all editorial standards, publication decisions and corrections.
Who is responsible for editorial decisions at Sachindex?
Daniel Winter, Chefredaktör, holds final authority over all editorial content published on sachindex.de. He is supported by Sandra Brandt as Redaktionschef, who manages the daily newsroom, headline review and commissioning. Politikredaktör Matthias Thomas covers riksdagen, regeringen and kommunpolitik. Wirtschaftreporter Julia Richter handles ekonomi, marknader and hushållsekonomi. Kultur- och samhällsredaktör Christian Schmid oversees kultur, livsstil and samhälle. Christina Jung is responsible for fact-checking, source verification and corrections. Every named writer listed in our Our Team page is accountable for their individual contributions.
What is our editorial process for each article?
Every article published on sachindex.de is drafted by a named writer, reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before publication. This three-stage process ensures accuracy, clarity and adherence to our editorial standards. AI-assisted tools may support research, drafting, formatting, translation, metadata, headline options, summaries or transcription, but they never replace human editorial judgement. Every piece is approved by a human editor, and AI is strictly prohibited from fabricating quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience or expert profiles. Our full policy is detailed in the AI Automation Policy.
How do we distinguish news, opinion, features, sponsored and affiliate content?
We clearly label each piece of content according to its nature. News articles report facts impartially. Opinion pieces are explicitly marked as such and represent the views of the named author, not the publication. Features provide deeper analysis and background, presented as journalistic storytelling. Sponsored content is labelled with a clear disclosure, and commercial partnerships never influence editorial conclusions. Affiliate links are disclosed at the point of use. All policies governing these distinctions are outlined in our Sponsored Content Policy and Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure. Readers can also find ownership and funding details in our Ownership and Funding page.
What transparency measures do we provide at article level?
Each article displays the named writer, publication date, and, where applicable, a reference to the editor who reviewed it. Corrections are noted in a dedicated section at the foot of the article, with a link to our Corrections Policy. Fact-checking sources are cited inline, and any use of AI-assisted tools is disclosed in the article metadata. We encourage readers to verify our claims by following the linked sources. For detailed information on how we verify information, see our Fact-Checking Policy.
How is our independence guaranteed from commercial and political influence?
Sachindex Media Ltd. funds the publication through display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing. These revenue streams are managed separately from the editorial team. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions. Our independence is further safeguarded by a clear separation between the newsroom and business functions. Full details of our ownership structure and funding sources are available on the Ownership and Funding page, and our advertising and affiliate disclosure policy is at Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure.
How can readers submit a complaint about our content?
If you believe an article contains an error, violates ethical standards, or requires a correction, please contact our complaints team via Complaints Procedure. You may also email complaints@sachindex.de directly. We acknowledge all complaints within five working days and aim to resolve them within 30 days. Serious breaches are escalated to Chefredaktör Daniel Winter, who makes the final decision. All complaints and their outcomes are logged and reviewed quarterly to improve our editorial processes.
